- Rotowire Kirkland was recalled from AHL Tucson on Saturday.Kirkland played seven games with the Ducks last season, but he was unable to hit the scoresheet. This is the second time this week that Kirkland has been recalled from the minors. Kirkland was a healthy scratch in his only two games at the NHL level in 2023-24. He has a goal and 12 assists with Tucson this season.
- Coyotes’ Karel Vejmelka: Starting Sunday Rotowire Vejmelka will guard the home net Sunday versus the Jets, Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports reports.Vejmelka has been sharp recently, going 4-1-0 with a .934 save percentage over his last six outings, working his way back into a timeshare with Connor Ingram. Vejmelka will face a Winnipeg team that’s won five straight, scoring 16 goals in that span.
- Coyotes’ Dylan Guenther: Emergency recall from AHL Rotowire Guenther was recalled from AHL Tucson on Saturday, per CapFriendly.com.Guenther played 33 games with the Coyotes last season as a 19-year-old, scoring six times while adding nine assists. The Coyotes assigned him to the AHL before the start of the 2023-24 season and he has been a scoring star, tallying 10 goals while adding 18 assists in 29 games. Guenther is slated to start on the second line, alongside Jack McBain and Matias Maccelli, as well as seeing first unit power-play time. versus Winnipeg.
- Coyotes’ Justin Kirkland: Dropped to AHL Rotowire Kirkland was reassigned to AHL Tucson on Friday.Kirkland has yet to make his NHL debut but could be recalled again before Sunday’s game against the Jets to serve as an insurance body. The 22-year-old has 13 points in 12 AHL contests.
- Coyotes’ Zach Sanford: On waivers Rotowire Sanford was placed on waivers Friday, according to Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports.Sanford has two assists, four hits and eight blocks in 11 contests with Arizona this season. If he clears waivers, the 29-year-old will presumably return to AHL Tucson where he’s contributed a goal and four points in 16 appearances.
