Coyotes’ Sam Lipkin: Signs entry-level contract

  • Lipkin inked a three-year, entry-level contract with Arizona on Thursday. The deal will begin with the 2024-25 campaign.Lipkin was selected in the seventh round, 223rd overall, in the 2021 Draft. He has spent the last two seasons with Quinnipiac University — he scored 15 goals and added 20 assists in 39 NCAA games this season. Lipkin will head to AHL Tucson on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign.
  • Coyotes’ Alex Kerfoot: Offers power-play assist Kerfoot notched a power-play assist in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to the Canucks.Kerfoot has gone 11 games without a goal, but he’s starting to get on track with three helpers over his last five contests. The 29-year-old forward is also seeing a smaller role as the Coyotes try to get their younger players more involved late in the campaign. Kerfoot has bounced around the lineup all year, producing 40 points with 95 shots on net, 67 blocked shots, 63 hits and a minus-16 rating over 75 appearances.
  • Coyotes’ Clayton Keller: Ups point streak to nine games Keller registered a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to the Canucks.Keller helped out on a Dylan Guenther tally in the third period. During his nine-game point streak, Keller has seven goals and seven assists. The 25-year-old continues to be a leader on offense for the Coyotes with 32 goals, 37 helpers, 28 power-play points, 206 shots on net and a minus-21 rating through 71 contests in a top-line role. Keller’s hot offense down the stretch means he should be a lock for most fantasy lineups.
  • Coyotes’ Dylan Guenther: Scores lone goal in loss Guenther scored a power-play goal on four shots in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to the Canucks.Guenther tied the game midway through the third period, but the Coyotes couldn’t find a go-ahead tally. The 20-year-old winger has been steady but not explosive on offense with five goals and three assists over his last 11 outings. For the season, he’s produced 13 goals, 25 points (11 on the power play), 97 shots on net and a minus-4 rating through 38 appearances.
