Phoenix Suns Team Notes

  • Suns’ Collin Gillespie: Returns to practice

Gillespie (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

Gillespie has been sidelined since early November due to a fractured right ankle. While Gillespie will likely see action in the G League before making his NBA return, his participation in practice is a good sign that he is progressing in his recovery.

  • Suns’ Grayson Allen: Full practice participant

Allen (shoulder) participated fully during Suns‘ practice on Thursday, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

Allen has missed the last five games for the Suns but seems to be on track to return sooner rather than later. He averages 10.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, shooting 40.4 percent from the floor and 37.6 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Suns’ Bradley Beal: Limited practice participant

Beal (hip) was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

Beal left Tuesday’s game versus the Grizzlies early due to a left hip contusion. While Phoenix has yet to release an official injury report for Saturday’s matchup with Indiana, it appears that Beal has avoided a significant injury.

  • Suns’ Mason Plumlee: Nearly double-doubles

Plumlee finished with 12 points (6-6 FG), eight rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 27 minutes during Tuesday’s 117-112 loss to the Grizzlies.

This was one of Plumlee’s best performances of the season, as he recorded his third game of the campaign with at least three blocks. Jusuf Nurkic will miss one more game with his suspension, making Plumlee an attractive streaming option against the Pacers on Saturday.
