Suns Notes

  • Suns’ Grayson Allen: Scores eight points in win

Allen ended Tuesday’s 119-117 win over the Clippers with eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 24 minutes.

Allen finished perfect from the field and made a strong impact off the bench along with Royce O’Neale and Collin Gillespie. Bradley Beal left this game after 15 minutes with an ankle injury, and Bol Bol played just nine minutes as a starter. If Beal ends up missing time, Allen could become a popular pickup in standard formats.

  • Suns’ Collin Gillespie: Makes impact in limited run

Gillespie ended Tuesday’s 119-117 victory over the Clippers with 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists in 15 minutes.

Gillespie, who has hardly played for the Suns in recent games, stepped up in a big way after Bradley Beal left the game for good with ankle soreness. The Suns are 29-33 and could be in need of a spark, so Gillespie will be a name to monitor in very deep formats if Beal ends up missing time and if coach Mike Budenholzer gives him another shot.

  • Suns’ Royce O’Neale: Plays well off bench

O’Neale had 12 points (4-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists across 29 minutes during Tuesday’s 119-117 victory over the Clippers.

Bradley Beal left this game after minutes with left ankle soreness, and Bol Bol played just nine minutes in the starting lineup. Phoenix’s rotation has been all over the place lately, but O’Neale would be worth a look if Beal ends up missing time. For the season, O’Neale is on pace to return 10th-round value in nine-category formats with 9.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks.

  • Suns’ Bradley Beal: Won’t return against Clippers

Beal is out for the remainder of Tuesday’s game versus the Clippers due to left calf soreness, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports. He will finish the contest with zero points (0-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 15 minutes.

Beal was unable to score before being forced to leave Tuesday’s contest due to a lingering calf issue. Tyus Jones started the second half in his absence. Beal’s next chance to suit up is Friday’s matchup with Denver.
