Knicks’ Mitchell Robinson: Quiet despite starting role
Robinson accumulated six points (3-4 FG), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 29 minutes during Sunday’s 106-100 victory over Indiana in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Robinson replaced Josh Hart in the starting lineup, a move that ultimately led to a much-needed victory. Despite the starting tag, Robinson’s production remained somewhat underwhelming. However, his impact on the defensive end helped limit the Pacers to just 100 points, which won’t be lost on the coaching staff. The two teams will meet again Tuesday, with New York looking to level the series at 2-2.

Knicks’ Josh Hart: Shifts to bench Sunday
Hart logged eight points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Sunday’s 106-100 win over the Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Hart moved to the bench as Tom Thibodeau went hunting for answers, a move that on the surface appeared to pay dividends. Despite the demotion, Hart still delivered a balanced performance, sniffing what would have been his first double-double of the series. This was the first time Hart has come off the bench this season, a sign that Thibodeau is willing to try anything to ensure the Knicks advance to the NBA Finals. Given the success of the move, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Hart coming off the bench again Tuesday in Game 4.

Knicks’ Karl-Anthony Towns: Late-game heroics seal victory
Towns provided 24 points (8-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 15 rebounds and one assist over 33 minutes during Sunday’s 106-100 win over Indiana in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Towns put the Knicks on his back down the stretch, leading from the front as New York erased a 20-point deficit. He has now scored at least 20 points in four straight games, although this may have been his most important offensive showing. After losing both games in front of its home crowd, New York now trails the series 2-1 with Game 4 slated for Tuesday in Indiana.
