  • Panthers’ Anton Lundell: Generates helper in Game 5 win

    Lundell logged an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday’s 5-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Lundell is now on a four-game point streak (one goal, four assists). The 23-year-old center set up Brad Marchand’s opening tally at 9:12 of the first period. Lundell has provided valuable depth scoring with 17 points, 44 shots on net and a plus-18 rating over 22 playoff outings, primarily from a third-line role.

  • Panthers’ Matthew Tkachuk: Draws assist in Game 5

    Tkachuk registered an assist and three hits in Saturday’s 5-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Tkachuk has five points, nine shots on net and a plus-2 rating over his last three games. He set up a Sam Bennett tally late in the first period that gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead. Tkachuk is up to 22 points (seven goals, 15 helpers), 39 shots on net, 45 hits, 33 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 22 playoff outings. He’s had just one multi-game slump all postseason, providing steady offense in a second-line role.

  • Panthers’ Aleksander Barkov: Nabs assist in win

    Barkov logged an assist in Saturday’s 5-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Barkov has three helpers over the last two games. The 29-year-old opened the series with three scoreless efforts, but he’s found his way back on the scoresheet as the Panthers make a push for a second consecutive championship. The center has produced six goals, 14 helpers, 45 shots on net, 50 hits, 22 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across 22 playoff appearances.

  • Panthers’ Sam Bennett: Extends streaks with goal

    Bennett scored a goal on three shots, doled out four hits and blocked two shots in Saturday’s 5-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

    Bennett has a six-game point streak (six goals, two assists), and he’s gotten on the scoresheet in nine of his last 10 contests. His tally Saturday put the Panthers ahead 2-0 late in the first period. Bennett leads the league with 15 goals this postseason, and he’s added seven assists, 66 shots on net, 103 hits, 46 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 22 appearances. Should the Panthers win the Stanley Cup, Bennett will finish at or near the top of the list for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
