Diamondbacks’ Juan Burgos: Traded to Arizona
The Mariners traded Burgos to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday alongside Tyler Locklear and Hunter Cranton in exchange for Eugenio Suarez, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Burgos has appeared in four games for the Mariners this season while allowing three earned runs over 6.2 frames and striking out eight batters in the process. He was optioned to Triple-A last week but still owns a 40-man roster spot, making him a prime candidate to join the D-backs’ injury-depleted bullpen at some point once the big club needs a fresh arm.

Diamondbacks’ Hunter Cranton: Dealt to Snakes
The Mariners traded Cranton to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday alongside Tyler Locklear and Juan Burgos in exchange for Eugenio Suarez, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Cranton got off to a late start this season after missing three months due to a concussion he suffered during spring training. He returned to action in early July and has done well since then, logging a 1.13 ERA and 11:3 K:BB through eight innings. Now that he’s in Arizona’s farm system, the 24-year-old will set his sights on reaching Double-A Amarillo by the end of the year.

Diamondbacks’ Tyler Locklear: Shipped to Arizona in Suarez dea
The Mariners traded Locklear to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday alongside Hunter Cranton and Juan Burgos in exchange for Eugenio Suarez, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
The Mariners recalled Locklear from Triple-A on Wednesday, but instead of backing up Josh Naylor, the 24-year-old will now aim to carve out a role for himself in Arizona. Locklear has impressed in the minors this year, slashing .316/.401/.542 with 19 home runs, 82 RBI, 70 runs scored and 17 stolen bases through 434 plate appearances in Triple-A. He should fill in as the D-backs’ first baseman for the immediate future, though his path to playing time will become less clear once Pavin Smith (oblique) is activated from the injured list.
