Bears’ Ricky Stromberg: Plays Sunday
Stromberg saw action in Sunday’s preseason game against the Bills, indicating that he’s past the concussion issue that sidelined him in late July.
The center played on 33 offensive snaps and five special-teams snaps. Stromberg, a third-round pick of the Commanders in 2023, has appeared in just four regular-season games through two NFL seasons. While Drew Dalman is projected to start for Chicago, Stromberg can compete for the backup role with 2022 sixth-round pick Doug Kramer.

Bears’ Amen Ogbongbemiga: Recovered from shoulder injury
Ogbongbemiga (shoulder) logged five tackles (four solo) and a forced fumble during Sunday’s 38-0 win over the Bills.
Ogbongbemiga suffered a shoulder during the Bears‘ preseason opener against the Dolphins, but he progressed enough in his recovery to be cleared to play Sunday. He led the Bears in tackles and forced a fumble late in the third quarter, which led to Chicago scoring 14 plays later on an Ian Wheeler 10-yard rushing touchdown. Ogbongbemiga primarily served on special teams for the Bears in 2024 and logged 13 tackles (seven solo), including 1.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season games, and that role is his clearest path to making the 53-man roster at the end of training camp.

Bears’ Andrew Billings: Records one sack vs. Buffalo
Billings (pectoral) logged two tackles (one solo), including a sack, during the Bears‘ 38-0 preseason win over the Bills on Sunday.
Billings was cleared to play Sunday after fully recovering from surgery in January to repair a ruptured pectoral muscle. The 2016 fourth-rounder is entering the final year of his two-year contract extension that he signed with the Bears in November of 2023. Billings is slated to serve in a rotational role at defensive tackle behind Grady Jarrett and Gervon Dextor.

Bears’ Kiran Amegadjie: Plays in preseason
Amegadjie (leg) played in the Bears‘ second preseason game against the Bills on Sunday.
Amegadjie sat out the team’s first exhibition contest versus the Dolphins with a leg injury suffered during practice. In his return against the Bills, the 23-year-old played 33 snaps on offense and five on special teams. The second-year player is competing with Braxton Jones and rookie Ozzy Trapilo for a role on the offensive line, per Courtney Cronin of ESPN.

Bears’ Tyler Scott: Strong preseason outing
Scott caught three passes for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Bears‘ 38-0 preseason win over the Bills on Sunday.
Scott worked with the reserves, leading the team in receiving yards. However, after just 20 snaps in 2024 and added receiver competition, he’s likely battling for a roster spot instead of a rotation role.
