AZ Cardinals Recap and News

  • Cardinals’ Will Hernandez: No injury designation

Hernandez does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday’s game against the Colts, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Hernandez returned from knee surgery in Week 5 to make his season debut. While he’ll be ready to start at right guard Sunday, coach Jonathan Gannon noted that the team would continue to monitor Hernandez’s progress towards full health, per Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com. That could cap his snap count and force Isaiah Adams into the mix.

  • Cardinals’ Evan Brown: Returning for Week 6

Brown (knee) does not have an injury designation for Sunday’s game against the Colts, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Brown was forced to miss Arizona’s loss to the Titans in Week 5, but he logged a pair of limited practices and a full session in preparation for Week 6. He’ll be ready to take back his starting role at left guard.

  • Cardinals’ Will Johnson: Good to go against Indianapolis

Johnson (groin) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday’s game against the Colts, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Johnson was a full participant in Friday’s practice, which was enough to clear to him to play in Sunday’s road tilt. He played through the injury during the Cardinals‘ Week 5 loss to the Titans, when he played 55 defensive snaps and logged three solo tackles.

  • Cardinals’ Mack Wilson: Questionable to face Colts

Wilson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Colts, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Wilson has been working through an ankle injury that he picked up during the Cardinals‘ Week 4 loss to the Seahawks. He played every single defensive snap against the Titans in Week 5 and was limited in practice this past week, so his status for Sunday’s game may not be announced by the Cardinals until approximately 90 minutes before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Cardinals’ Cody Simon: Iffy to play Week 6

Simon (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Colts, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Simon was limited in practice all week due to a knee injury that he picked up during the Cardinals‘ Week 5 loss to the Titans. The rookie fourth-rounder has been mostly used on special teams this season, but his return would fortify the Cardinals’ linebacker corps that could be without starter Mack Wilson (ankle).
