Phoenix assigned Fleming to the G League’s Valley Suns on Thursday.

Fleming is joining the Valley Suns ahead of Thursday’s G League game against the San Diego Clippers, and he’s likely to play a significant role.

Williams amassed nine points (2-5 FG, 5-7 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes during Wednesday’s 138-89 loss to Oklahoma City.

Williams was on the court for only 19 minutes because the game got out of hand for Phoenix rather quickly, leading to the team clearing benches early in the second half. In his last nine appearances, Williams has averaged 15.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.6 blocks across 24.1 minutes and has shot 69.3 percent from the field in that span, anchoring down the center spot for the Suns.

Brooks notched 16 points (4-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes during Wednesday’s 138-89 loss to Oklahoma City.

Brooks led the team in scoring with 16 points, but it took him 16 shots and seven free-throw attempts to do so. Despite seeing more usage with Devin Booker (groin) sidelined, Brooks has not been shooting the ball well at all, averaging 19.0 points on just 35.0 percent from the field and 23.5 percent from three in the last three contests without Booker. While Brooks is the clear No. 1 offensive option with Booker and Jalen Green (hamstring) sidelined, he has to shoot the ball better if the team wants to win games.
