Phx Suns report and recap

  • Suns’ Jalen Green: Iffy for Tuesday

Green (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Nets.

Green seemingly aggravated a right hamstring injury in Friday’s loss to Atlanta and may miss a second consecutive contest due to injury management. If the 23-year-old shooting guard isn’t cleared to suit up, Grayson Allen and Collin Gillespie would be candidates for increased minutes, while Isaiah Livers could remain in the Phoenix rotation.

  • Suns’ Royce O’Neale: Shooting woes in loss

O’Neale racked up eight points (2-10 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals over 31 minutes during Sunday’s 111-102 loss to the Heat.

O’Neale chipped in across the board but was blanked from long range, the latter of which doesn’t bode well for his chances of maintaining a consistent starting role with Jalen Green (hamstring) working his way back into the fold. The veteran forward has averaged 8.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 three-pointers in 28.9 minutes per contest in his last seven games.

  • Suns’ Isaiah Livers: Quality minutes off bench

Livers provided nine points (4-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt), five rebounds, one block and two steals over 15 minutes during Sunday’s 111-102 loss to the Heat.

The 15 minutes were Livers’ most since Nov. 24, so his role hasn’t been particularly stable. Prior to Sunday, the forward didn’t appear in either of Phoenix’s past two contests, so Livers doesn’t appear to be fantasy relevant for the time being.

  • Suns’ Collin Gillespie: Holding onto significant role

Gillespie chipped in 11 points (4-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt) and four rebounds across 31 minutes during Sunday’s 111-102 loss to the Heat.

Until Jalen Green (hamstring) gets fully back up to speed, Gillespie should remain worth holding in the majority of fantasy leagues. The sharpshooter has averaged 14.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.3 three-pointers in 29.9 minutes per game in his last seven appearances.
