Suns recap and notes

  • Suns’ Cole Anthony: Ruled out for Thursday

Anthony (recently traded) is out for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.

After coming over from Milwaukee at the trade deadline, Anthony’s Suns debut will have to wait until Saturday at the earliest, when Phoenix faces Orlando. The majority of the minutes at point guard should fall on Collin Gillespie, Jalen Green and Grayson Allen until Anthony is able to work his way into the mix.

  • Suns’ Grayson Allen: Off injury report

Allen (knee) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Thursday’s game against the Spurs, Shane Young of the Suns‘ official site reports.

Allen was sidelined for the Suns’ final three games before the All-Star break due to a right knee sprain, but the extra rest time has been enough for the veteran wing to return to action against San Antonio on Thursday. He started in each of his seven outings prior to his most recent injury stint. Over that span, he averaged 20.1 points, 4.9 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 3.4 threes and 0.9 steals over 33.6 minutes per game.

  • Suns’ Jalen Green: Not spotted on injury report

Green (hamstring) is off the injury report for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.

After missing Phoenix’s last contest prior to the All-Star break for load management, Green is all set to play Thursday. The star guard is still searching for a rhythm amidst an injury-plagued campaign, so fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him to play more than around 25 minutes Thursday. On the year, Green has averaged 11.1 points, 2.3 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.9 three-pointers in 15.3 minutes per tilt through seven appearances.

  • Suns’ Isaiah Livers: Good to go Thursday

Livers (shoulder) is off the injury report for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.

Livers missed the Suns‘ final three games before the All-Star break, but the 27-year-old has been given clearance to suit up for Thursday’s contest. He’s appeared in 29 games this season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.9 rebounds across 10.1 minutes.
