Suns’ Cole Anthony: Not playing Thursday
- Anthony (not with team) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Lakers, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Anthony continues to be away from the Suns after being traded by the Bucks on Feb. 5. His next chance to play is Tuesday against the Kings, though there’s no indication that he’ll suit up for Phoenix in the near future.

Suns’ Khaman Maluach: Plays garbage time in loss
Maluach ended Tuesday’s 97-81 loss to the Celtics with five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and one block over six minutes.
Though he made an appearance for the fourth time in five games, Maluach wasn’t part of the rotation while the game was competitive. Phoenix will be without three key contributors in Devin Booker (hip), Jordan Goodwin (calf) and Dillon Brooks (hand) for the foreseeable future, but Maluach won’t have a path to regular playing time so long as Mark Williams and Oso Ighodaro are available to cover most of the center minutes.

Suns’ Jalen Green: Struggles in loss
Green ended with 13 points (5-18 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes during Tuesday’s 97-81 loss to the Celtics.
Green shot the ball poorly again Tuesday, continuing a shooting slump. In seven games over the past month, he has averaged 14.1 points, 1.4 steals and 1.9 three-pointers in 23.4 minutes per contest, shooting 34.8 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent from the line. He remains a must-roster player, although his inefficiency certainly can’t be overlooked.

Suns’ Mark Williams: Non-factor in loss
Williams posted two points (1-3 FG), five rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 18 minutes during Tuesday’s 97-81 loss to the Celtics.
Williams continues to offer very little on the court, having now scored in single digits in four of the past five games. During that span, he has averaged just 6.8 points and 6.0 rebounds in 20.1 minutes per contest, leaving him well outside the top 250 in standard formats. Phoenix is dealing with multiple injuries yet again, meaning the path forward is somewhat unclear. Williams remains a hold for now, although that could change, especially if he can’t turn things around in the near future.
