Phoenix assigned Maluach to the G League’s Valley Suns on Friday.

The rookie first-rounder hasn’t seen the floor at all in four of Phoenix’s last eight games. That said, Maluach will look for steadier reps in the G League in the interim. The 19-year-old big man is averaging 15.8 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game through four G League regular-season outings.

The Suns waived Anthony on Friday, per Shams Charania of ESPN.

The Suns acquired Anthony at the trade deadline in a deal with the Bucks, but the guard never joined the team and is now free to sign elsewhere on the open market. On the year, Anthony has averaged 6.7 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per tilt through 35 games with Milwaukee and should attract some attention from clubs in need of backcourt reinforcements.

Booker (hip) is trending toward returning to action Tuesday in Sacramento or Thursday against the Bulls, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Booker was back in action before the All-Star break after missing seven games due to an ankle injury. However, in his first appearance following the layoff, the All-Star guard played only nine minutes before suffering a right hip strain, which has kept him out of four straight contests. The Suns had only two games this week and don’t play again until next Tuesday, giving Booker plenty of time to rest and rehab before returning to game action. It’s safe to assume he’ll face restrictions when given the green light, as he’s made only three appearances since Jan. 23.

Green amassed nine points (4-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 24 minutes during Thursday’s 113-110 win over the Lakers.

Although Green popped with a 26-point result last week, he’s failed to make much of an impact since returning to full-time action. His ongoing minute restriction is part of the problem, as he’s averaged only 27.3 minutes over the past four games. His shot volume has stayed high despite the limitation, but he’ll need to do better than his four-game conversion rate of 28.0 percent.

Allen provided 28 points (9-24 FG, 6-16 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, six assists, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Thursday’s 113-110 win over the Lakers.

Allen proved to be the best fill-in option for Dillon Brooks (hand) in the narrow victory, as Ryan Dunn and Royce O’Neale had a hard time finding room against the Lakers. Allen drilled six three-pointers in the win, marking his third-highest total of the season in the category. Allen is working his way back from a couple of injuries, and he will probably rejoin the starting five soon.
