Cardinals’ Evan Hull: Claimed by Arizona
The Cardinals claimed Hull off waivers Monday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Hull was waived by the Texans on Sunday and now finds a new home in Arizona. The running back participated in six 2025 regular-season games, rushing 19 times for 48 yards. The addition of Hull is a perplexing move for a Cardinals team that already has a rushing room consisting of Jeremiyah Love, Tyler Allgeier, James Connor (foot) and Trey Benson (knee).

Cardinals’ Trey Benson: Tending to sore knee
Coach Mike LaFleur said Monday that Benson is dealing with discomfort in his left knee, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Benson wasn’t able to play after Week 4 last season due to a knee injury, finishing with 29 carries for 160 yards, 13 catches (on 16 targets) for 64 yards and no touchdowns in four contests. LaFleur noted that the team doesn’t expect the current issue to be a long-term concern, and there’s a chance Benson will play in Thursday’s Hall of Fame Game against the Panthers, per Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic. With James Conner (foot) still not operating at 100 percent in training camp, Bam Knight, Corey Kiner and Evan Hull are the reserve RBs behind the top duo of rookie first-round pick Jeremiyah Love and offseason signing Tyler Allgeier.

Cardinals’ Walter Nolen: Avoids knee injury
Nolen is all set to continue practicing in a full capacity, Dani Sureck of the Cardinals‘ official site reports.
Nolen was experiencing some discomfort in the knee he hurt last year, but he has moved past the issue. The defensive tackle underwent surgery in December for a torn meniscus and is learning to practice post-injury. Nolen was working on the knee with trainers Friday and is now seemingly more confident in its stability.

Cardinals’ Joey Blount: Sitting out with stinger
Blount (undisclosed) did not participate in Sunday’s practice, Dani Sureck of the Cardinals‘ official site reports.
Blount sat out the session due to a stinger, which is understandable given his history of neck issues. The safety’s 2025 season ended after Week 1 when he sustained a neck injury.

Cardinals’ PJ Mustipher: Placed on injured reserve
The Cardinals placed Mustipher (foot) on injured reserve Saturday, Darren Urban of the team’s official site reports.
Mustipher is officially done for the season due to the issue. The defensive tackle is coming off a career year and will be unable to maintain his reserve role with the team in 2026.
