AZCardinals recap and notes

  • Suns’ Jamaree Bouyea: Blocks two shots Saturday

Bouyea logged five points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 16 minutes during Saturday’s 119-116 loss to the Warriors.

Bouyea played no more than 20 minutes for the fifth time in the past six games, continuing a season that has failed to reach any great heights. In 12 appearances, Bouyea has averaged just 7.0 points in 14.3 minutes per game, meaning fantasy managers need not spend too much time dissecting his box scores.

  • Suns’ Ryan Dunn: Modest production in loss

Dunn supplied seven points (2-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal over 20 minutes during Saturday’s 119-116 loss to Golden State.

Dunn continues to provide very little outside of defensive stats, scoring single digits for the ninth straight game. During that time, he has averaged just 4.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 19.7 minutes per game. At this stage, he should be viewed as nothing more than a defensive streaming option.

  • Suns’ Mark Williams: Rough night again Saturday

Williams accumulated four points (2-3 FG), five rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 18 minutes during Saturday’s 119-116 loss to Golden State.

Williams was poor for the third time in the past four games, a worrying trend for those invested in the big man. While the lack of production has been frustrating, at least it correlates with his playing time, providing managers with a workable sample size. At this stage, the hope is that he can figure things out, starting with Tuesday’s matchup against the Lakers.

  • Suns’ Devin Booker: Strong line in loss

Booker produced 38 points (13-27 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 10-12 FT), five assists, one rebound, three steals and two blocks in 38 minutes of Saturday’s 119-116 loss to Golden State.

Booker’s heroics weren’t quite enough as the Suns dropped to 15-13 on the season. Through 25 regular-season appearances, Booker is shooting 45.7 percent from the field with averages of 25.6 points, 6.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.7 three-pointers.
