Suns recap and notes

  • Suns’ Haywood Highsmith: Back at full strength

Highsmith (knee) isn’t listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Kings.

Highsmith will be available to make his season debut after finishing up his rehab. It remains to be seen how involved the 29-year-old will be in the Phoenix rotation, though he figures to be deployed off the bench to provide minutes behind the likes of Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale.

  • Suns’ Khaman Maluach: Dealing with thumb injury

Maluach (thumb) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Kings.

Maluach, who was recalled from the G League on Sunday, is dealing with a right thumb sprain that clouds his availability for Tuesday’s contest. The Duke product is averaging just 5.3 minutes per game across 26 NBA appearances this season, so even if active, there’s no guarantee he’ll see the floor.

  • Suns’ Devin Booker: Not listed on injury report

Booker (hip) has been cleared to play Tuesday against the Kings.

Booker is ready to make his return to the hardwood after missing Phoenix’s last four matchups while tending to a right hip strain. The star guard has had some tough injury luck lately, as he also dealt with an ankle issue before the All-Star break; therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Suns monitor Booker’s minutes closely in his first game back.
