Cardinals’ Brodric Martin: Signs with Arizona
The Cardinals signed Martin (undisclosed) to a contract Friday, Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com reports.
Martin was one of four players who the Cardinals hosted for a tryout Friday, and the team was impressed enough to sign the Western Kentucky product. Martin has appeared in only six regular-season games since being selected by the Lions in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He’ll have the opportunity to compete for a depth spot at defensive tackle behind presumptive starters Walter Nolen and Roy Lopez.

Cardinals’ Jaden Davis: Lands on injured reserve
The Cardinals placed Davis (undisclosed) on injured reserve Friday.
The nature of Davis’ injury has not been announced, but now that he’s on IR, he’ll be forced to miss the entire 2026 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Cardinals. He appeared in each of the Cardinals’ last three games of the 2025 regular season, logging three tackles (two solo) in that span.

Cardinals’ Joey Blount: Participating in training camp
Blount (neck/concussion) was an active participant in Tuesday’s training camp practice, per Ross D. Franklin of the Associated Press.
Blount suffered a season-ending neck injury during the Cardinals‘ Week 1 game against the Saints in 2025, but he has recovered from the injury and is battling for a roster spot in training camp. If Blount does make the 53-man roster, then he’ll likely be limited to work on special teams while providing depth in the secondary.

Cardinals’ Mack Wilson: Participating in training camp
Mack Wilson is participating in the Cardinals‘ training camp, Jess Root of cardswire.com reports.
Wilson seems to have recovered from his rib injury and is all set to take the field. The middle linebacker has already resumed his duties as the starter for the Cardinals’ defense. The 28-year-old veteran player has been playing alongside both Cody Simon and Jack Gibbens as the two battle for reps at linebacker.

Cardinals’ James Conner: Not doing full-team drills
Conner (foot) isn’t yet doing full-team drills at training camp, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.
Coming back from season-ending foot surgery, Conner didn’t do much during the offseason program but took part in the opening practices of training camp. Now that 11-on-11 drills are starting up, Conner has been forced to watch from the sideline while Tyler Allgeier and Jeremiyah Love take first-team reps. There will be concern for Conner’s Week 1 availability if he doesn’t begin full-team work within the next week or two.
