Gurriel (adductor) took five at-bats in a bridge league game Saturday at the Diamondbacks‘ extended spring training facility, MLB.com reports.

Despite getting in some live at-bats, Gurriel remains at a low-intensity stage of his rehab program as he works his way back from a right adductor strain. According to Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, Gurriel still needs to ramp up his running progression, so he may not be ready for a formal rehab assignment until he’s capable of playing the outfield and running the bases without restriction.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Sunday that Jameson (hip) is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Reno during the upcoming week, Alex D’Agostino of SI.com reports.

Per Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, Jameson threw 32 pitches over two innings in an unofficial game at extended spring training Saturday. Assuming Jameson bounces back well from that outing, he’ll report to Reno in the coming days and will likely make at least a couple appearances before returning from the injured list. Jameson posted a 4.67 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 17.1 innings out of the Arizona bullpen before landing on the IL on July 21 due to right hip inflammation.

Marte went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday’s 4-2 win over the Dodgers.

Marte has regularly batted cleanup since July 25, but the results haven’t really been there. He’s 8-for-54 (.148) with two homers, two doubles and four RBI over his 14 contests in that spot. On the bright side, the second baseman secured his fourth straight 20-homer campaign with his long ball Sunday. He’s hitting .244 with a .744 OPS, 64 RBI, 61 runs scored, 22 doubles, three triples and four stolen bases over 113 games this season and should be able to hit his way out of this slump eventually.

Ginkel has allowed five runs (four earned) over 5.2 innings since Arizona’s closer committee emerged. He has a save, a blown save, a hold and a win in that span. There’s still no favorite for saves currently — Brandyn Garcia has picked up two of them to Ginkel’s one, while Jonathan Loaisiga and Juan Morillo have served more in setup roles since Paul Sewald was removed from the closer role. For the year, Ginkel has a 3.60 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 47:15 K:BB through 50 innings while adding 11 holds.

Rodriguez (11-4) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out nine over seven innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Sunday.

Rodriguez emptied the tank for this matchup, throwing 79 of 115 pitches for strikes. On the year, he won two of his four games against the Dodgers while allowing just six runs (five earned) over 24 innings, posting a 22:6 K:BB in those starts. Rodriguez has largely been able to pitch well against tough opponents this year, which has helped him work his way to a 2.70 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 101:47 K:BB across 143.1 innings through 24 starts. The southpaw’s next start is projected to be in Atlanta. He limited Atlanta to four hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings in a home start April 3.
