2026 BMW Championship leaderboard: Live updates, FedEx Cup Playoffs highlights from Round 3 in St. Louis

It’s Moving Day in St. Louis. The 2026 BMW Championship has reached the third round with so much at stake for the 50 players in the field vying for the Fedex Cup title.

After two rounds, reigning U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark sits atop the leaderboard at 12 under. Clark has yet to make a bogey this week as he looks to add a little more debate to the Player of the Year race. He has plenty of competition behind him, however, as Gary Woodland sits just one back at 11 under and J.J. Spaun two back at 10 under.

Only 30 players can advance to next week’s Tour Championship at East Lake and there’s still so much to be decided near the bottom half of the table. Every birdie and bogey made this weekend will go a long way in determining who gets the chance to play for that massive payday in Atlanta.

Bellerive biting back a bit more today

In Round 1, Bellerive played 1.50 strokes under par. In Round 2, it played -1.86 strokes under par. So far on Saturday, the par 70 is playing to an average of 69.30, north of a stroke more difficult than Friday. This seems to be a combination of some tighter pin locations and the wind whipping a hair more than Friday and Saturday. The being said, the greens are still rather receptive and scoring is still possible from the fairway.

Wyndham Clark’s bogey-free streak ends on No. 1

Wyndham Clark did not make a bogey the first two days, so naturally he opens his third round with a double bogey to drop out of the lead. The U.S. Open champion is now one behind his playing partner, Gary Woodland, who started his third round with a ho-hum par. The lead is down to 11 under, which should give those players up ahead on the golf course an extra jolt of energy.

Scheffler turns at 5 under for tournament

That is back-to-back birdies and three in his last five holes for the world No. 1 as he climbs to 2 under for the day and 5 under for the championship. Scheffler has not gotten off to great starts so far this week as he played the front nine in +3 on Thursday and even par on Friday. Making his front-nine 33 even more impressive is that he hit just three fairways in the process and hit his tee shot on No. 2 in the water (where he saved par).

Rickie Fowler projected first man out as of now

It has been a volatile day for the fan favorite. With five birdies on his scorecard already, Fowler has also added a pair of bogeys including most recently on the par-3 13th where he short sided himself off the tee. At 3 under, he is just inside the top 25 with a handful of holes remaining in his third round, but more importantly he is No. 31 in the projected FedEx Cup standings.

Jake Knapp’s sluggish start may put an end to his season

One of the first few players outside the top 30 at the onset of the week, Jake Knapp finds himself in last place on Saturday as he is moving in the wrong direction on Moving Day. Knapp carded a quadruple-bogey 7 on the par-3 3rd and has since added a couple bogeys to his card to drop to +5. He finally got one back on the par-5 8th to move into a share of 49th-place as the smooth swinging right hander eyes what looks like his final 27 holes of the year.
