Arizona Cardinals Injury Updates: Love to Practice, Conner and Reiman Uncertain Before Dallas Trip

Jeremiyah Love could be back his week

The Arizona Cardinals head to Dallas on Sunday with their injury picture moving in both directions: Jeremiyah Love is set to practice Wednesday after missing two games, while James Conner and Tip Reiman may or may not play again this season, and Jalen Brooks is done for the season after hurting his wrist Sunday.

Love is the clearest step forward. Head coach Mike LaFleur said Monday that Love (ankle) will take part in Wednesday’s practice, Theo Mackie reports. Love has missed the last two games with a lingering ankle issue, with Tyler Allgeier and Bam Knight splitting backfield work in that span. He will likely need to string together multiple practices in a row to be in position to return Sunday at Dallas.

Conner’s path back is far less certain. When asked Monday whether Conner (foot) will play this season, LaFleur said “potentially,” Dani Sureck of the Cardinals’ official site reports. Conner was reported close to practicing two weeks ago, but there is no indication his 21-day practice window is about to open, and there is little room on the depth chart for another running back who does not play special teams.

Reiman’s season is in even more doubt. LaFleur said he is “not too sure” whether Reiman (ankle) will play this season, Dani Sureck of the Cardinals’ official site reports. Reiman has not played this season and is on the reserve/PUP list, with no update on a return, though the door is not fully closed before the end of the 2026 season. The 2024 third-round pick has appeared in 21 regular-season games for Arizona, with nine catches for 55 yards.

Sunday’s 30-16 loss to the Broncos reshaped the receiver room as well. Brooks suffered the season-ending wrist injury in that game, leaving Kendrick Bourne as Arizona’s second option at wide receiver. Bourne caught three of six targets for nine yards against Denver, after back-to-back five-catch games. Elijah Higgins caught all three of his targets for 17 yards and made a tackle on kick coverage, playing 39 offensive snaps and 17 on special teams, and his continued involvement in the passing game lets Arizona keep using 12- and 13-personnel packages.
