NFL Team Notes

The bill came due around the NFL on Sunday. Here is the Week 6 injury picture — who went down, who sat out, and who is on the way back.

INGLEWOOD — The Cardinals escaped SoFi Stadium with an 18-16 win but lost defensive lineman Walter Nolen III to an ankle injury in the second half; he did not return. The Rams lost kicker Blake Grupe to a knee injury early while tackling on a kickoff, forcing punter Ethan Evans into kicking duty the rest of the afternoon. Jeremiyah Love sat out with his ankle injury but could be back Sunday when the Broncos visit. Los Angeles was also without cornerback Trent McDuffie (groin).

FOXBOROUGH — Nobody got hit harder than the Patriots’ offensive line. Right tackle Morgan Moses left with an ankle injury and was spotted in a walking boot after the game, guard Ben Brown was helped off with a knee injury and did not return, and guard Alijah Vera-Tucker was ruled out with a hamstring injury. Receiver Romeo Doubs exited in the first quarter with a shoulder injury right after his 42-yard touchdown catch and was ruled out. The Jets lost linebacker Kiko Mauigoa to a thigh injury in the first quarter. Already out: running backs Breece Hall (quad) and TreVeyon Henderson (high-ankle sprain, expected to miss multiple weeks), cornerback Carlton Davis III (neck) and receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger). One bright spot for New England: receiver A.J. Brown was activated from injured reserve and played his first game since Week 1.

KANSAS CITY — Chargers receiver Ladd McConkey was ruled out late in the second quarter with a concussion. Kansas City stayed unbeaten without two receivers — Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tre’ Harris (hamstring) were both inactive.

PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles played without quarterback Jalen Hurts, on injured reserve with a blood clot, as Tanner McKee made his season debut. Running back Carson Steele left with a shoulder injury and was questionable to return.

CLEVELAND — The Ravens were without Lamar Jackson for a second straight week with the ankle injury; Tyler Huntley started again.

TAMPA — Baker Mayfield missed his third straight game with the thumb injury as Jalon Daniels started again for the Buccaneers, who were also without safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (rib). Receiver Roman Wilson was placed on injured reserve Saturday with a finger injury.

GREEN BAY — The Packers beat Dallas 23-13 on Sunday night without pass rusher Micah Parsons, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and defensive lineman Javon Hargrave. The Cowboys lost return man Kavontae Turpin to a ribs injury (ruled out), and linebacker Dee Winters was questionable to return with an ankle injury after intercepting Jordan Love.

ATLANTA — The Bears got two back: quarterback Caleb Williams returned from a three-game hamstring absence to start, and cornerback Kyler Gordon made his season debut after the calf injury with three sacks and two forced fumbles. Chicago was still without running back Kyle Monangai (toe) and four defensive starters — Montez Sweat, T.J. Edwards, Dayo Odeyingbo and Tyrique Stevenson.

EAST RUTHERFORD — Saints quarterback Tyler Shough played through broken bones in his non-throwing hand for the second straight game, throwing three touchdown passes in the 34-27 win. The Giants were without cornerback Colton Hood (concussion), tight end Theo Johnson (neck) and safety Tyler Nubin (neck); the Saints were missing linebacker Kaden Elliss (calf) and edge rusher Anfernee Jennings (knee).

LAS VEGAS — Buffalo was without receiver D.J. Moore (shoulder) and defensive tackle Ed Oliver (knee); the Raiders sat defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway (concussion).

INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts played without tight end Tyler Warren (groin).

Monday night: Commanders at 49ers. The official Monday injury reports land this afternoon and will update this list.
