Kailer Yamamoto, Nick Schmaltz, Michael Lee and John Marino scored, and Karel Vejmelka made 23 saves as the Utah Mammoth beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-1. Tate Thompson scored on the power play for Buffalo, which fell to 2-3-0.
Jackson LaCombe, Frank Vatrano, Ryan Poehling and Nikita Nesterenko scored for the Anaheim Ducks in a 4-2 win over the Calgary Flames. Nesterenko’s goal at 17:03 of the third was the game-winner, and Ville Husso made 27 saves in his first start. Poehling had a goal and an assist before leaving the game injured. Aydar Suniev scored his first NHL goal for Calgary, which is 0-5-0. Matt Coronato had two assists for the Flames.
Mitch Marner scored at 2:40 of overtime on a 4-on-3 power play — his second goal of the season and eighth career OT winner — to lift the Vegas Golden Knights over the Los Angeles Kings 2-1. Brett Howden had a goal and an assist, Mark Stone had two assists, and Carter Hart made 26 saves. Artemi Panarin scored for Los Angeles, and Darcy Kuemper stopped 30. Vegas improved to 5-1-0, first in the Pacific; the Kings fell to 0-2-2.
